Crave Yoga studio in Mountain View is celebrating its one- year anniversary this Saturday and is inviting everyone in the community to come check them out and celebrate with them.
They will be holding an open house this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with three free yoga classes you can sign up to join. There will also be a live DJ, refreshments and membership specials, including membership packages starting as low as $89 a month. The classes are Vinyasa Flow at 9 a.m., Bhakti Flow at 10:15 a.m. and Slow Flow at 11:30 a.m.
Founder Helena McLoughlin, a native of Ireland, started Crave Yoga in December 2021 after 13 years of teaching classes in fitness and yoga in various capacities throughout the Peninsula.
“What an unforgettable year it’s been,” she said. “When I first stepped onto my mat over 20 years ago, I would have never believed I would one day have either the opportunity, or courage, to be able to own and create a space dedicated to this practice. I wanted to build a studio that I would love to go to. I wanted to build a studio that no matter who’s teaching, you feel welcomed and comfortable.”
She said it was a leap of faith to open a new business during the pandemic, and she is “beyond grateful” to everyone who has supported the studio.
And as Crave Yoga’s community has grown over the past year, so too has the studio’s offerings. They offer a variety of classes, including Vinyasa Flow, Bhakti Flow and Gentle Flow. They also now have Restorative Yoga and Yin Yoga classes, and as a way of giving back to the community, they offer free guided meditation and Reiki healing classes on Mondays at 6:45 p.m. – an offering that’s been enthusiastically taken up by many community members
