hot stone restorative yoga with Liana Cohen

Hot Stone Restorative Yoga is a gentle practice that combines restorative yoga poses with the therapeutic application of heated stones. In this class, participants are guided through a series of supported postures, where heated stones are strategically placed on the body to promote deep relaxation, alleviate muscle tension, and enhance the body’s natural healing processes. The warmth from the stones helps to soothe the nervous system, improve circulation, and facilitate a meditative state, leaving practitioners feeling nurtured, calm, and rejuvenated.

The Settle into Stillness Ensemble is a collective of artists that unites the healing power of conscious relaxation with sacred sound. The Ensemble seamlessly weaves together diverse world music instrumentation, such as the handpan, didgeridoo, harp, voice, gongs, and crystal singing bowls, all set to the backbeat of an eclectic variety of world percussion instruments. 

Their offerings create an immersive experience that transports participants towards a state of deep inner calm. Through carefully curated sessions, guests are invited to release stress, let go of tension, and embark on a profound journey of self-exploration. The purity of sound permeates every cell, evoking a sense of harmony that soothes the spirit and opens doors to personal transformation.

  • How to safely move through yoga postures with optional modifications.

  • How to listen to your body and breath.

  • How to focus your mind using specific techniques.

  • Marti is a senior certified yoga instructor and certified yoga therapeutics practitioner.

  • She believes yoga is a self care tool that is accessible to everyone regardless of age, body type or experience level.

Slow Down Saturday offers a tranquil retreat from the hustle of everyday life, inviting you to embrace the serenity and simplicity of being present in the moment.

Your experience commences with a cocoa ceremony, a grounding ritual known for fostering connection and inner peace. This sets the tone for a gentle transition into a restorative yoga session, where you'll be guided through nurturing poses designed to release physical and mental tension. This practice is intertwined with Reiki, a form of energy healing, enhancing the experience with a sense of balance and wellbeing.

The afternoon culminates in an extended savasana, a restful yoga pose often referred to as the "corpse pose." During this time, the calming effects of Reiki are further infused, deepening your state of relaxation. This final stage is an opportunity to fully immerse yourself in tranquility, allowing the day's practices to integrate and leave you refreshed and centered.

Celebrate Earth Day with a rejuvenating outdoor Vinyasa Flow, set in the peaceful surroundings of a private residence in Los Altos. This all-levels class is designed to help you feel grounded and connected—to yourself, to nature, and to the earth.

Through a thoughtfully guided flow, you'll move with your breath, exploring strength, balance, and release. Feel the warmth of the sun, the breeze on your skin, and the steady support of the earth as you flow through grounding postures and energizing sequences.

Please bring your mat, water, and any props you’d like for comfort. We recommend dressing in layers to stay comfortable outdoors.

Come breathe, move, and celebrate the earth together.

Experience Yoga Nidra—a guided 30-minute meditative rest scientifically proven to quiet the mind and release accumulated tension. You’ll leave with practical, easy-to-use techniques to enhance your sleep quality.

For over 23 years, Marti has helped hundreds of individuals deepen their understanding of sleep and its profound impact on mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. She has trained extensively with leading sleep experts, including Ann Dyer (Yoga for Sleep) and Dr. Richard Miller (Founder of iRest).

Peri Menopause and Menopause are a time of unique needs for women. Women can enter into peri menopause as early as their 30’s. We welcome the vast age range. The menopause journey doesn’t have to be lonely. This class will offer a supportive community of women who understand what you are going through. The practice includes: Group Check-In, Guided Breath Techniques, Yoga and Somatic Movement, Meditation and Deep Relaxation.

You will learn evidence based techniques for the following:

  • Changes in metabolism

  • Mood swings &iIrritability

  • Sleep disturbance

  • HotfFlashes & night sweats

  •  Urinary incontinence

  • Pelvic organ prolapse

 Bring a journal or Ipad for creative writing meditation.

Join us for an afternoon of deep connection, reflection, and celebration in honor of the Divine Feminine within. Through movement, meditation, creative expression, and sacred ritual, we will embrace the feminine energy that flows through all of us—intuition, creativity, and receptivity, This retreat is an opportunity to slow down, listen inward, and nurture the sacred cycles of our being.

Together, we will:

  • Co-create an Earth Mandala as an offering to the cycles of nature and self

  • Flow through gentle, feminine-centered movement and embodied healing practices

  • Soften and surrender through a soothing meditation and sound bath to connect with and heal the divine feminine within

  • Share tea, nourishment, and heartfelt reflections

  • Create our own flower bouquets as a symbolic takeaway from this journey

  • If you feel called, you are invited to bring flowers from your garden to add to our shared space. However, we will also provide flowers for you to use.

What to Bring:

  • A journal and pen for reflection

  • Any personal altar items (crystals, small statues, or sacred objects you’d like to include in our space / mandala co-creation)

  • Optional: Flowers from your garden to add to the communal bouquet and mandala

  • An open heart and willingness to connect
